Madison's Second Big Girl Room

Since Madison had to move rooms to allow for baby number three I changed her paint color.  She had the vibrant green in her nursery and then in her first big girl room.  I was tired of it and thought she could use a little change.  I opted for a very soft pink and I love how it turned out.

I begged Jason to allow me to put a chandilere in her new room.  We live in Texas and his argument was that it gets hot... I argued that she was my only girl out of three and to please let me make her room as girly as possible!  He caved...

This is the other antique cane chair.  One is in Tyler's room and the other is here.  They both use to reside in the guest room.  Since I no longer have a guest room I needed to split them up for space reasons.  I love those chairs!

Notice the clock above her mirror?  That is her time timer we use for "rest time" ever since she outgrew her nap.

Madison and Cinderella at Disney World this past October!

Madison's birth plate from Aunt Lori.

I got the monogrammed lamp for her nursery and carried it on into her big girl room.  Another new addition is the headboards.  I waited TWO YEARS on them!  I could never find "the ones" until these came out in Pottery Barn Kids this past year.  As soon as I saw them I knew they were the ones.  The delivery guy knocked on my front door one day in March right after Callan was born.  I answered the door with both Madison and Tyler in tow.  He looked at them and then back at me and said.. "you know these are white right?"  I just burst out laughing.  I must be crazy!!

The whole reason we moved Madison was so she would have her very own bathroom!  We knew she would not be able to share one with Tyler in the long run.  Callan now has that priviledge!

Tyler's Big Boy Room

I have always LOVED the Serena and Lily Ronan bedding and knew I wanted it for Tyler. The price tag on it is hefty so when it went on sale I jumped on it!  I purchased it long before he was ready for a big boy room.  Obviously in this picture you see the crib so in fact he is still not ready for a big boy room.  Things happen in life (like me getting my surprise baby, Callan) and Tyler had to be moved out of his nursery!  Thankfully, I already had his bedding stored away in a closet.

Tyler and Madison shared the Jack and Jill and I knew with baby number three being a boy she was going to eventually need to be moved to the guest bedroom that has it's own bathroom.  So instead of moving Tyler to the guest room, I went ahead and moved him to her room.  I then moved Madison to the guest room and Callan got Tyler's nursery. Are you keeping up?

The little "T" pillow is also from Serena and Lily. I've had the chair my whole married life. I bought them from an antique store in my home town of Milledgeville, GA. I bought a matching pair. They were once black, but I repainted them white.  I bought the elephant artwork off of etsy.  Tyler is only two so his room still needs to have LITTLE boy touches to soften his bedding.

The curtains are from IKEA. They have long been discontinued. I think they still carry the matching bedding. I love these curtains. They only came in 108" length so I had to hem them myself. I also bought curtain lining fabric from JoAnn's and lined them.   I hung them first without liner and they seemd so cheap...  which they were!  The light came in right through them.  Once I lined them they looked much nicer.

I also bought these sunshine prints off of etsy.  I always sing this to my babies so I thought it was appropriate.

The actual bed is also from IKEA.  It was my guest room bed.  (Adding a third baby meant losing my guest room!)

I had a BIG wall to fill up.  I first saw the idea of using a tree here.  She painted her tree, but I'm just not that crafty.  So once again I turned to etsy.  I sent them a link to my bedding and they matched the colors for me!!  I picked a tree with polka dots to tie in the curtains as well.

The adorable owls were part of the tree.  I chose to put them over the door.  (Again trying to give the room a little boy feel.)

I got the lamps for $25 each at Home Goods!  LOVE THEM!  The color could not have been more perfect.  (Tyler's Pop made the tractor for him.)

The dressor (antique) and mirror (Home Goods) are out of my guest room as well.

His Aunt Lori gave him the plate when he was born.

My favorite baby photo of Tyler....

Jason built shelves when we first moved into the house in the closet for Madison.  I bought the totes at Home Depot.  This side of the closet houses his diapers, books, and some toys.

Callan was my model for the day. Tyler was at school while I took photos of the room!

I'm so happy Tyler hasn't quite figured out how to get out of his crib.  When he does... this one (we bought as a secondary crib) from IKEA will convert to a toddler bed.  I woke Tyler after nap by snapping pictures of him... I love this boy.

But he was not loving me at the moment!

Callan - Three months old and his Baptism

My sweet baby was baptized this past Sunday on Father's Day.  Tyler was baptized on father's day two years ago.  We were fortunate enough to have Jason's sister and her family here both times.

This photo was the best out of the 5000 we took!  It takes a miracle to accomplish this adorable picture!  (Madison - age 4, Alston - age 8, baby Callan - one day shy of three months, Parker - 4 next month, Tyler - age 2)

Callan wore the same shoes Tyler did, but with his own monogram.  I did buy him his own baptism bubble.  Tyler was six weeks old when we baptized him so I needed a bigger size.  Plus, Callan will wear most of Tyler's clothes so I want him to have a few special outfits of his own for keepsakes.

We baptized Callan in the contemporary service.  I usually opt for the traditional because I like the formality.  However, we attend the contemporary and I decided that is where we belonged that morning.  We sat on the front row and I handed off my camera to my SIL.  She had a hard time getting pictures because I only brought my 50mm.  If I look a little annoyed in this photo it's because Madison was lifting up my dress.  Thank goodness I opted to leave Tyler in Sunday school.  I can only imagine the show we would have put on if I had brought him too!

Madison held the water for Reverand Adkins.  I love how he included her.  (I was thrilled she had a job so she would leave my dress alone... HA HAA!)

This photo warms my heart.

After we went out to lunch.  I was so nervous to take all three kids, but they did great.  Ty was a little fussy because they were slow bringing his milk!

At three months old Callan has mastered...

his big grin!

He's holding his head up very well.

I think he's going to have dark eyes like me and Madison.  I'm leaning toward fairer skin as well.  (He'll get that from me too.. sorry kids!)  He does have the dimples and eyelashes like his siblings though.

... and my cell photos of life from two to three months..

His sweet sitter, Kathleen, sent me this one.. (she's so good to him!)

Tyler still holds his hand.

My big helper.. (Sorry for the pink rag Callan!)

Big cousin, Alston.  He couldn't get enough of Callan.

One afternoon I needed to do a few things on the computer.  Madison said she would "baby sit" for me.  We agreed on a rate of one sucker.  (The mystery flavor).  I told her I would "pay" her after she finished her job.  I snuck over to her door to take this picture. Priceless.

She got every baby toy she could find and put them on her bed.  I love how she put her pink blanket on him too.  A real live doll.

... and finally Tyler and Callan.  He loves his brother.

.. and I know Callan loves them.

AND.. to Jason...  Callan made you a daddy to three.  God could not have blessed him with a better father.  You are everything I could ever ask for in a father to my children.  Thank you for who you are and all you do for them and for me.

Happy Father's Day!
